The Guru Report: Video Killed the Literacy Star

by Hockey Guru

Sorry about the technical difficulties yesterday. I should have realized that there might have been some of you out there in the Guru Nation, who might make Jacques Demers look like an Honours English major. In stead, I expected you to read the actual script for the previous episode of The Guru Report.

Now that I have located the master tape [thanks, Spezzal Teams], you can now view the episode in its full HiDef glory, the way it was meant to be broadcast. So grab yourself some popcorn and curl up with your loved ones because...

It's time for the Guru Report:

  1. The anchor seems to have the personality of a certain fan of Aaron Hill - and doesn't get a lot of the great writing that was submitted in the original Guru Report.

  2. I blame the producer / director. He spent waaaay too much time trying to get the camera angles and the Reporrr's tone correct, that he failed miserably in adapting the script to television.

Ever since he got literally eaten up and chewed out, he seems to be phoning everything in.

  3. After going back into the Ottawa Hockey League - the postings from the trade deadline are all gone - somebody posted 34 messages providing play by play, and another 15 regarding streaming.

Anyhow, what I was looking for was the post on how Bill Guerin wouldn't be able to help the Montreal Canadiens.

Next fall it will be a good topic to throw out on the hockey board. HOPEFULLY - there will be a few managers that have a take on something - anything.

You would think - that to play fantasy sports - one would be interested in sports and have some sort of comment to throw out there.

But - apparently - no takes to be had.

Another effort, most likely to be in vain - will be made tonight.

    Great cup finals.

And as far as could BG have helped the Habs - maybe the fact that Sid gave the Cup directly to BG after hoisting it can answer that question.

    Cups since 1994:

    Bill Guerin 2
    Montreal Canadiens 0

    Cups in Will's lifetime

    Bill Guerin 2
    Montreal Canadiens 2

  4. I don't think Will was born in 1986, so:

    BG 2, Mtl 1
