The Top Ten List: The Top Ten Utility Players

By Will-He-M

I'll admit, the "super" utility player is a fairly new concept to me. Unlike the previous lists, where I had a solid idea of who to look at and who to include, this list I had virtually no idea who to really look at. So I had my work cut out for me and I'll tell you, it was very difficult. I tried finding some other possible lists of utility players and found virtually nothing. It's taken me several hours to make this list and if I missed an older player (most of the guys I found are still playing), please mention it or possibly make your own list as I doubt mine could ever be complete.

The criteria I used for this list is that each player must have played multiple positions but without playing too many games at any one position. For instance, I left Mark McLemore off the list because he had played almost 1200 games at second base, which was about 600 games more than he had played at any other position. Anyway, heregoes:

10. Benjamin "Ben" Zobrist (Tampa Bay Rays 2006-present)
