Did I ever tell you about when we used to choose the Most Offensive Lines™, and for some reason we only picked five winners each time?
Well, it's that time of year again, just like that bunny who lays those disgusting chocolate eggs. Tentatively re-titled Box Score'd, this regular feature will pick the best performance at each position to compile a dream boxscore of the top producers. I doubt I can keep it up every day, but for sure I can commit to weekly and monthly issues. Any of you are welcome to produce one anytime you feel like it.
Today is the oddest day on the calendar to be doing one of these, since no other day will ever feature just the one game, but hey. I wonder if today marked the game of the year for Youkilis, who had a pair of doubles and a triple. I'm sure he can top it RBI-wise and OPS-wise, but fans in Boston will remember the 2010 opener when they think back on Youkilis' year.
